November 12 is the 153rd anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's birth. After 5 years of construction, the new Zhongshan Memorial Library opened its doors on Thursday. Sun Bida, great-nephew of Sun Yat-sen and member of the 10th and 11th CPPCC National Committee, Lai Zehua, secretary of Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, Gao Hong, secretary of CPC Central Academy of Fine Arts and other officials attended the opening ceremony and unveiled the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen in the museum.

Capacity of the new library building area of 57660 square meters, the collection of 3.2 million books, reading seat 2000, reception of the reader up to 8000 people, is a collection of "public reading, information consultation, education and training, scientific research and academic exchanges, cultural inheritance, exhibition display, social service", and other functions in one of the modern library. As part of the space is still being developed, only floors 1 to 3 are open at present. The first floor has children's reading space, Zhongshan study, newspaper reading area, reading room for the visually impaired; On the second floor, there is a reading space for teenagers and multimedia reading for children. On the third floor, there are comprehensive literature area, Sun Yat-sen literature museum, Xiangshan literature museum and so on.

As the largest public cultural construction project in Zhongshan in recent years, the sorting of books borrowed and returned every day is a heavy workload. In order to reduce the time it takes for books to return to their places, Zhongshan Memorial Library cooperated with Anhui Etown Information Technology Co., Ltd to set up a smart book sorting system in the new library. In the intelligent book sorting center on the negative first floor of the library, two staff members are holding a computer and debugging a smart book sorting machine. Similar to a package sorting line, the crawled machine is equipped with different sluices and neatly arranged handling boxes. The machine automatically recognizes the book code and classifies the book in a second.

At present, two self-service book return machines are installed next to the lifts on multiple floors of the library. The appearance of the book return machine is similar to the ATM of a bank. Readers can operate the touch screen to return books. After recognition, the system will open the return port under the touch screen, and readers can put the books into it and return them.

       Then, the returned books will be transported to the sorting center on the negative ground floor through the transport channel, and the machine will recognize the book code and sort the books in both horizontal and vertical directions. Finally, the books will be sent back to the floor of each library through the transport channel, and the staff only need to be responsible for picking up the good books and putting them on shelves.

The book intelligent sorting system, using the leading Internet of Things technology, software and hardware are modular design, compatible with ISBN, bar code, two-dimensional code, RFID tags and other kinds of identification and code system, the system uses the international leading artificial intelligence technology in the sorting industry, can process about 100,000 books a day. Users can enjoy self-service such as borrowing books, returning books, reading, issuing certificates, renewing loans and making appointments through self-service, so as to save labor costs to the greatest extent and provide 24-hour service.
As China's first fully automatic book sorting system equipment with independent intellectual property rights, the operation of this sorting system also marks the recognition of China's independent research and development of intelligent sorting system and an important milestone from the traditional manual book sorting to intelligent book sorting.

         In the future, with the development and wide application of Industry 4.0, intelligent sorting will be applied to more industries, liberate human hands, improve work efficiency, improve enterprise management, and help social progress soar.
