First: What is intelligent logistics?


Smart logistics refers to improving the ability of analysis, decision making and intelligent execution of logistics system and improving the intelligence and automation level of the entire logistics system through intelligent technologies and means such as intelligent hardware, Internet of things and big data. Smart logistics integrates a variety of service functions, reflecting the needs of modern economic operation characteristics, that is, it emphasizes the fast, efficient and unobstructed operation of information flow and material flow, so as to realize the purpose of reducing social costs, improving production efficiency and integrating social resources.


Second:the origin of "intelligent logistics"?

Following the "smart Planet" proposed by IBM in 2008, Obama put forward the "smart Planet" as the NATIONAL strategy of the United States in 2009. In August of the same year, Premier Wen Jiabao put forward the "Perception of China" in Wuxi, and the Internet of Things was officially listed as one of the five emerging strategic industries in The country and written into the "Government Work Report". The logistics industry is the earliest industry to touch the Internet of things. It is also the earliest application of the Internet of things technology, to achieve intelligent logistics operations, networking, and automation of the industry. In 2009, the Information Center of China Association of Logistics Technology, China Internet of Things, and the editorial Department of Logistics Technology and Application took the lead in putting forward the concept of "smart logistics" in the industry. The concept of smart logistics is in line with the historical trend, and also in line with the new development trend of automation, networking, visualization, real-time, tracking and intelligent control in modern logistics industry, as well as the development trend of the Internet of Things. It is beneficial to reduce logistics cost, improve efficiency, control risk, save energy and improve service.




Third. Industrial application of smart logistics

Smart logistics mainly includes the following four technologies:


1.Technology of  Warehouse

There are mainly four kinds of technologies: robot and automatic sorting, wearable devices, driverless forklift and cargo identification. At present, robot and automatic sorting technology has been relatively mature and widely used. Most wearable devices are currently in the research and development stage, among which smart glasses technology is developing rapidly.


2.Mainline Technology

Mainline transportation is mainly driverless truck technology.Driverless trucks, which will change the existing pattern of trunk logistics, are still in the research and development stage, but have achieved initial results and are being tested before commercialization.


3.Last mile technology

The last kilometer-related technologies mainly include uav technology and 3D printing technology. Uav technology is relatively mature, including JINGdong, SF express, DHL and many other domestic and foreign logistics enterprises have started commercial testing, with its flexible characteristics, it is expected to become an important way of future terminal distribution in specific regions. 3D technology is still in the development stage, and currently only Amazon, UPS and others have technology for it in the pipeline.


4.The new technology at the end

The new technology at the end is mainly smart delivery cabinets. At present, commercial use has been realized (mainly covering the first and second tier cities), which is the focus of the layout of all parties.
